Lava Guides (lavaguides.com) is a small, local tour company on Hawaiʻi Island. This page explains what this website collects and what we do with it.
What you send us
When you use the tour request form, we receive what you enter: your name, email, optional phone number, the tour and date you’re interested in, your group size and your message. It’s emailed to Lava Guides and kept on this website so we can reply and plan your tour. We don’t sell or share it, and we don’t add you to a mailing list.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects details such as the pages you view, your browser and your approximate location. You can opt out with Google’s opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Security
Our hosting and security tools may log IP addresses to protect the site from spam and attacks.
Live volcano status
The “Kīlauea right now” panel shows public information from the U.S. Geological Survey’s Hawaiian Volcano Observatory. Our server fetches it; your browser doesn’t send anything to USGS.
